It appears others have all ready noted the issue with the packaging. Product is fantastic, but the 5lb box of frozen sausage took about a half hour to get it pried out and reapportioned (breakfast and sweet sausage).
Going to have to pass on future orders until I can get 1 ib cryovac packages.

The sausage was tasty and had excellent texture. I only wish that the three ropes were not frozen together and difficult to unstick from each other. Maybe an individual wrap would make it easier to use one and keep the others frozen. Overall an excellent product.

I had ordered the sausage, my second time and at the same time I ordered hot dogs from another vendor.
I am so pleased when I opened the box, the sausages were frozen solid. Like they were taken out of the freezer. I know they were in transit for 3 days, so keep up the great job.
My hot dogs were defrosted, warm and had to be discarded.
I will be ordering again, when I have eaten what I ordered.

Disappointed that it was all frozen in one piece with no separation, not everyone wants to cook 5 pounds of sausage at once. The sausage itself was nothing special . Save your money folks!

Personally, I can't imagine Italian sausage without fennel, but a family member for which I was making lasagna has stomach issues when eating fennel. I was surprised at how good this sausage tasted, and there was almost no fat, also a surprise. I'll be back to try other products.

While we love the sausage, this order arrived totally frozen solid and I could not separate to freeze. Customer service was great and gave me a give certificate good for one year. I will be ordering again.

the wait was worth it - they were so delicous- so authentic - came out so juicy and luciou - we cant stop talking about them - i made a tomatoe pie with sausage and we put some in our sauce - i dont have an after picture because we after we served them - there was nothing left !!!

This sausage is very similar to the northern Italian Luganega that my family eats when we are in Italy. It’s flavorful without being greasy, the casing is crispy… feels like being in Italy. I have ordered it again and plan to keep it stocked in my freezer from now on!

The sausage is very tasty. Unfortunately all was frozen, and very hard to separate. Can't use 5 lbs of sausage for one dinner. Would be nice if the layers were better separated, so you can use one layer or two at a time!!

Esposito's did an outstanding job of responding to a weather related shipping issue! Our sausage shipment was delayed several days due to snow on the west coast. I wrote them a note, mentioning my concern that the meat looked like it might have been thawed at one point. Esposito's immediately sent out another order, which arrived on time, well packaged, and frozen. Thank you!

Really great packaging, sausage arrived in perfect condition.
The quality of the product is quite high - as an Italian I always wondered why "Italian sausage" here always has fennel seeds, which overpower the flavor.
This sausage has no fennel and it really tastes like Italian sausage!
The only tricky thing is that it's a 5lb box with three wheels that are all in the same box, so it's a bit hard to unfreeze only 1lb at a time

We are quite disappointed that Esposito's discontinued Italian link sausage without fennel. Rope sausage is not conducive to cooking in a spaghetti meat sauce. Most butchers will accommodate customers' needs. However, we will continue to purchase other items that you feature. BTW...your rep, Ryan, provides excellent customer service and should be commended. The sausage is awesome - flavor, texture and no fennel!!!! LOL. I usually like to make Sausage and Peppers with much more larger chunks however, this was one thin-link rather than multiple pieces of thicker-links. It's all good, I will be ordering more and other items.

We love sausage with beans and escarole, and no sausage works better in this simple dinner than Esposito’s Sausages.
