Sweet Sausage with Provolone & Parsley

Your sausage was very good and tasty. However, when it arrived it was totally stuck together, like it was defrosted and refrozen. We had to defrost it to re freeze it ourselves. Some of the links were damaged, and I did make a small complaint about it, but it was not resolved to my satisfaction. We're not sure if we will reorder.

Great taste. Love the sharpness of the cheese and the spices taste of sausage. Put one of the 3 rings on the grill. It was gone in 5 minutes. Can’t wait to cook the other two and order more.

This is the first time we’ve tried this sausage and it had a great flavor. Seems like it was ground finer than most store bought sausages so the feel in the mouth was much smoother. Will definitely buy this sausage again.

The rings were all frozen together, even though there was parchment paper between the rings. Use thicker paper or wait until each ring is partially frozen first before packing. There are no recipes for the rings on the site, only breakfast recipes, and no instructions on different methods to cook it.

I moved from Long Island to Florida in 1989. Over the years I tried a lot of locally made sausage and other national brands. I could never find a decent Italian sausage that replicated the ones I grew up with. After watching several Instagram posts about Esposito’s and reading various reviews, I decide that I would order the Provolone and Parsley rope sausage. I received it four days after I ordered it. It was still frozen and package very well. I can honestly say that this sausage was the best that I have had in 36 years. Excellent flavor and texture. The flavor was consistent throughout with nice sized pieces of provolone and parsley. Unfortunately, the five pounds of sausage was enjoyed by me and my family and only lasted for two meals. I cannot emphasize enough how good the sausage was. I’m am getting ready to order the sweet and hot Italian sausage and I cannot wait for it to arrive. I will be a customer from this point forward. Ordered sausage in a ring. Received one big ground sausage instead. Don't understand what has happened to this company. Very disappointed.

I grew up 3 blocks away from Esposito's in the 50s, 60s & 70s and theirs was the only sausage that ever passed my lips until I left NY in the late 80s. I'm in Phoenix now and you can't find rope style sausage anywhere and supermarket options, even the "Premium" brands, are mediocre at best. Having these on my plate last week almost brought me to tears it was sooooo special. And how can you beat free shipping these days? Guess what I'm eating for the Super Bowl.

The sausage is absolutely delicious. Please wrap the rings separately as I couldn’t get them apart and had to defrost them enough to pry them apart. Overall really really tasty

We love the parsley and cheese ring sausage and I often give it as a gift. One suggestion: Those who received as a gift have commented that it is hard to separate the rings upon receipt without defrosting, since they are likely to use only one ring at a time. Wonder if you could include an extra sheet of wax paper between rings.

I thought I ordered a provolone & parsley ring cheese package because that was the picture displayed when I ordered . Instead I received a frozen package that looked liked sausage meat not even links. My husband was not happy with the cooked product. The best I can hope for is to add it to a sauce. Very disappointed!

I moved from NY to SC in 2007. Haven’t been able to find a good pinwheel (rope) sausage since I’ve been here….until now. Should have known I needed to ship it from NY! Thank you Espositos for the Parsley/provelobe- I needed that itch scratched for a long time . Absolutely delicious

Arrived still frozen and I separated each ring cause I'm the only one that eats these kind of sausage. I so missed them since moving from Las Vegas to Idaho. Baked in the oven and sat and enjoyed. The taste I remember when my mom made them when I lived in New York. Delicious!

I have been eating your sausage for 60 years. It's always been the best ever. The last few times, it's just not the same. The casing is too thick, it lacks that great provolone flavor it use to have. Even the parsley doesn't seem to be there anymore. I'm really disappointed!!!

Product is great but your packaging needs some help. The clear plastic wrap on the outside of each sausage box is cheap and both boxes arrived not sealed. Seams came apart. The other issue is it is very hard to separate each of the 3 pinwheel sausage without fully defrosting all of them. Maybe more butcher paper in between would help or wax paper instead.

Didn’t see anywhere in your description of the sausage as being similar to breakfast sausage in size. Also, I have had two pieces of this sausage and had either gristle or bone fragment in it. I hope the hot and sweet are a better experience.

Sausage was pretty good but packaging was so bad it was disappointing. When I told the company, with pictures, their answer was an offer of a gift card. When I told them I would only be able to use a gift card if packaging would be different (better), I did not receive a reply. I won’t purchase again

I responded to the text message asking me about my order and my dissatisfaction about how it came. The box had three large sausage rings which tasted amazing that’s not the problem. I could not thaw out one ring because they were frozen together. The paper between them did not help at all. It was a solid block. We tried everything and just ended up tearing the ring apart into pieces. It would’ve been better if they were individually wrapped. I had to thaw out the entire box and cook it all and there’s just two of us. It was so much waste that it wouldn’t make it cost-effective to buy again. Very disappointed in that.

I did not receive what I ordered. I sent email and photo. Instead of sausage coils I received a block of frozen bulk sausage meat. Very disappointed and will not order again. I asked for a refund but have heard nothing. I will dispute the charges with American Express. You have no customer service

Just incredible sausages..u can't believe how tasty and moist they are,,it is the high quality meat and recipe that Esposito s puts together that make it impossible to find at any butcher ,forget supermarkets Been eating them (grilling and baking) for 30 yrs ..ty

Your rope sausage is the best. Wonderful taste. We live in Virginia now but originally from New York and cannot get anything close to this sausage. Definitely will fill my freezer ordering again.

Delicious BUT would really appreciate each sausage rope be frozen separately. Because they are not questions my future purchases.

I have ordered a few times from Esposito’s and this order of the Provolone Cheese and Sausage was not the quality the other times I got it, It didn’t have little to no cheese and tasted dry, I am not sure what happened with that batch, I didn’t cook it any different then the instructions on the box, I am willing to give it another try one day.

Sausage sampler was good but didn’t stand out as being anything great. The packaging (frozen solid in 5 pound boxes) made it difficult to portion out. Overall, I didn’t think it was worth what averaged out to $10. Per pound.

The sausage with cheese was okay but it was tough … flavor was good. However, the breakfast sausage is terrible! VERY TOUGH and the flavor was not good. I was really disappointed..

not sure I'm an Italian sausage expert, but it is ok. comes frozen solid in 5 pounds so just a little hassle to thaw and resize into freezer bags. but hey. it's all good. makes good meat sauce

Love your sausages! My only complaint…the three wheels come frozen. They can only be separated by defrosting all three. Then they need to be frozen again, separately. They used to come unfrozen in dry ice. Espositos: go back to mailing them unfrozen, please!

Sausage was delicious! So happy to have the option to have NY sausage delivered to Georgia. Price was reasonable and delivered promptly and still frozen.

Unfortunately, having been a huge fan and purchaser of Espositos sausages for over a decade, their provolone and Italian sausage has gone downhill. Not sure if it's a new casing or that we received it frozen instead of fresh like it used to arrive, but it's so tough after grilling you can't really even chew it. I was going to give some to neighbors after saying how great Espositos is, but not now. Espositos was bought and now run by a larger company. Very sad.

Arrived as promptly and well frozen. Looking forward to eating. My only problem is the single sheet separating the layers. A double sheet would make it easier to separate into several meals.

Tasted good but got 5lbs frozen together. Very difficult to separate into smaller packages. There was paper between layers but all frozen together.

I hadn’t had any for almost 25 years and it was every bit as good as I remember it.

My friends and I moved from NY. We now live in Tucson, AZ. We can’t find wheel/ring sausage anywhere. I received your sausage and set up a sausage and peppers party. EVERYONE loved it. There wasn’t a bite left, and I made a lot! Two of my friends are now going to order from you.

The top layer was freezer burnt. We threw that out. That being said the rest of the sausage was delicious and we would definitely order from you again!

The sausage with provolone and parsley was very good...made the kitchen smell incredible...I ate it fresh out of the frying pan with a delicious salad...perfect low carb high protein meal...I purchased the one a month sausage plan and to date love them all. I look forward to each new delivery

Sausage was great. Only issue was with defrosting 5 lbs. at one time. I ordered the sweet sausage with provolone and parsley pinwheel. It was three wheels that were impossible to separate, so I had to defrost them all at once regardless if I wanted to use them all at the same time or not. Individual packaging would be helpful.

This one was new to me. It is very good. The quality is a always the very best with this company!

I thought I'd surprise my wife with parsley and provolone sausage from a New York Deli. I was stunned to see 5lbs coiled in one package in a Barese style. It should be regular size , like all the rest of the sausage, especially for the money. It should have been broken up into 5-1 lb. Packages , easier to freeze and defrost. It tasted ok, but next time I'll go back to my deli in Chicago.

So delicious...reminds me of what we called "chivolott" the skinny sausage with that special taste...a coil of relentless flavor that made each time we ate it...a treat for the palette. Thank you Esposito's for an incredible product that brings me back to my childhood in the Bronx.

Had a lot of trouble getting the order because they were out of stock for the Thanksgiving holiday. However, this wonderful company definitely made it up to me with fantastic sausage and they threw in 5 pounds for free that is customer Service. I didn’t expect anything for free.

It wasn't a proper holiday without me taking Nana to Espositos's so, in classic Neapolitan fashion, she could insult the sausages, while buying over 30 lbs of assorted ones for the holidays. "Look at that horrible parsley cheese sausage, I'll take 10 lbs!" Our family has been going there for well over 70 years and they've never disappointed us.

If you want great tasting sausage is only one place to buy it Esposito's finest sausage I've been dealing with them for years now and they've never failed to get me the most tasty sausage you can buy I would recommend this sausage to my friends and also to my enemies because after tasting this sausage they will also become my friends because it tastes just wonderful. I have been ordering for a few years ever since I found them. Specifically for the parsley provolone wheels. They are fabulous! I looked all over when I moved to Pittsburgh and could not find it anywhere. Not Little Italy or the Strip district. Actually, I am glad because I do not believe they could make it better anyway!

My order arrived on time. It was packaged brilliantly, and was rock solid when delivered. The dry ice packs worked so well in fact, that they blistered the sausage casings. So, when grilled, they ended up a little dry.
