My husband always made lasagna for Super Bowl Sunday. We would make a 60 mile round trip just to get sausage from the Italian pork store. We enjoyed the sweet sausage. Have yet to try the hot sausage that was part of the order. My one criticism would be the packaging of the product. It would be ideal if the sausages were packaged in such a way that it would not be necessary to thaw everything to prepare what you needed.

I am an italian who recently moved from the New York area to Texas. The food is so different and I can't get anything resembling real italian ingredients. Their italian sausage was just bland. Loved the sausage HOWEVER it came in such a frozen solid block that unless you're planning on defrosting and cooking the whole thing, trying to divide it to make smaller packages for family usage was nearly impossible.

20 links were shipped completely frozen like a brick! Couldn’t take them apart so I had to thaw and cook them all! There are only two of us!!!! I know they have to shipped cold but not like they e been frozen for 6 months at 20 below!?!? I was wondering why the shipment initiated in Illinois and Not New York! I won’t be buying from you anymore!

Your sausage is very good however you said it would contain fennel, essential to good pizza. I found it lacking fennel. I had to toast and crush my own and add it to your sausage. I also realize you must make the sausage to appeal to the many not the few.
I've used Johnsonville sweet Italian sausage for years which also lacks enough fennel.

the sausage came encrusted with ice and when it finally defrosted it was soggy on one side and the other side had freezer burn - it was gross - we have been a customer for a long time - usually the sausage is great and we love it - but there always seems to be a problem - I emailed your customer support several times requesting a refund. I was send a gift card not because of this but because they sent the wrong sausage - I would really like to get a replacement of the sweet link sausage - for the sausage that was bad - thank you cindy

Looks and smells like they thawed and refroze. Lots of ice on them. Funky smell when we cooked them. Had to toss the whole 5 lbs. Haven't tried the others yet.

We melted it enough to pry it apart, then re chamber sealed smaller portions. Then froze those.

The sausage came and one big ring. I was hoping it would be an individual links so I had to cut it in links. It’s just me. I am just by myself. I can never use a whole unfrozen ring. Also, it took over 30 days to get my order that was not something I was looking forward to if it takes that long. I’m gonna have to order from somebody else next time thank you.

The sausage is very good. I thought it was gonna come in links, but it came in a whole ring so I had to cut it up into single servings. Also, I ordered this product on December 14 and it arrived 30 days later. I wish someone would explain that to me because I really can’t wait 30 days when I order your sausage Which makes me want ordered from somebody else now because of a 30 day delay

I thought I posted a review but I’ll basically reiterate what I said. I liked the sausage, being from Brooklyn NY I certainly know what good sausage tastes like. Here’s my gripes…the sausage wasn’t in links..possibly my error when I ordered.Also the skin is a bit too tough for me. When I make a gravy for Sunday pasta..I brown the sausage before. The skin was tough.

My dad always got our Italian sausage for Christmas dinner from an Italian man that had been making sausage for 40 years. He recently passed. I looked for a new sausage and read rave reviews about Esposito's sausage. This sweet Italian sausage did not disappoint. It brought us back to our childhood with its taste especially the fennel seed. The sausage arrived in Texas still frozen and intact. I will definitely be ordering some more. I thought it would be fresh since that's what the pictures show. If it's frozen say that on advertisement. Also ,if frozen need to pack in packs of 2 or 4 so I can put in freezer separately. It was hard to repack since it was frozen solid. I couldn't let it defrost and refreeze. I only ate 1 piece so I can't rate it fully yet.

Sorry it was pretty much the worst sausage I have ever had. It was terrible when hot. It had a strange rubbery texture. It was edible when I ate it cold with onion and peppers with every bite. But not enjoyable. No satisfaction at all. I have tried a lot of sausages in my day. I was so excited for it to arrive and cook it. Boo big disappointment. Don't waste your money on this one!!! Maybe they will send my money back. That would be nice.

I recently moved to Texas from New York/ New Jersey and found out that you can’t get good Italian sausage here. Luckily you can have it shipped from Esposito’s and enjoy life again. Now if you only had bread !!!!!

Have not tried the sausages as the packaging is terrible, the sausages are laid in a cardboard box in 3 layers and to use a sausage you have to defrost the entire 5 lbs. I have 4- 5 lb boxes of a product I can’t use as there are only 2 people in our family.
5 sausages shrink wrapped to amount to 5 pounds total would be reasonable. Esposito’s told me they would give me % off our next purchase but I will never order again

I’m an old Italian/Scotch Irish gal from CT living in New Mexico for the last 30 years. My Mom was all Italian so I cook like she did but good quality sausage is near impossible here in Albuquerque. What they call Italian sausage here has no fennel in it!! What a pleasure to find your website and the pleasure of tasting your delicious sweet sausage has brought me some wonderful memories.
