I’m an old Italian/Scotch Irish gal from CT living in New Mexico for the last 30 years. My Mom was all Italian so I cook like she did but good quality sausage is near impossible here in Albuquerque. What they call Italian sausage here has no fennel in it!! What a pleasure to find your website and the pleasure of tasting your delicious sweet sausage has brought me some wonderful memories. Our friends hear us talk about the qua to sausages we got in Brooklynbut have now experienced it.
We moved to Richmond VA a few years ago and offen stock up when we go back to Brooklyn. As time moves on it’s not always easy to make the trip. We love chivelot sausages but they don’t know what the is in VA.
Our friends were bowled over by the flavor and the style of sausage. We love that we can have the taste of home without a 5 hours drive! I frequently went to the store when it was open in Brooklyn.
I highly recommend Esposito’s you will not be disappointed. Light up the grill, make your peppers and onions.

I used to love Esposito's sausages.
I intended to call and describe the poor quality of this order. Then, I read the recent reviews from 1 month to 1 year. The previous review from 'Philip' describes my experience with my recent Sweet Italian sausage order precisely.
Off aroma, serious off taste, no fennel. We worried all night.
The other reviews convinced me I've lost my best source for a variety of sausages, not just the NY Italian.

Fifty years later I don't live in Chicago anymore and this is the best sausage I've had, the spices, the kiss of fennel, all together to create an extraordinary Italian sausage. Sausages are very good - I prefer more fennel, but very good quality. I would echo some other comments about packaging. I don’t mind buying a 5lb box but it needs to have four or five individually wrapped packages so you don’t have to thaw it all out at once.

These were so disappointing, very dry, no flavor, freezer burn and let's not forget the smell. They are hard to eat and the smell don't know what that is, but they ended up in the trash dogs wouldn't even eat them that's how bad they were. I should have taken a video for you to see. Now when a dog turns it down it has to be bad. Never again!!

The sausage lacked flavor to my taste. When I ordered, I didn't check if fennel was an ingredient. I didn't notice it, nor did I taste that flavor. The casing was also very tough and chewy.

No grizzle very good , but tasted old because frozen to long. Wish I could try fresh cause feel would be great. Had great local made sausage when fresh , if frozen over 6 months , they are terrible, taste old. The sausage purchased were in that category.

I tried cooking the sausage several different ways but, each time I found it to be dry and lacking flavor. It would appear that the sausage was quite old and may have sustained freezer burn before being sent. I’m reluctant to try the hit sausage for fear of the same results. I’ll give it a try soon.

The sausage is delicious. However ,the customer service is absolutely terrible and we will not order from this site again. We found another NYC sausage and meat store-Vincents. We ordered and we got our order within 4 days. Compare that to the 2 months it took you to deliver our order. We will be sticking with Vincents from now on. Also,their sausage is delicious . And they had everything in stock when we ordered unlike your company. It took me almost a month to finally get someone from customer service to respond to me. When you finally did you didn't have certain things in stock-Shameful way to do business.

I am very, very disappointed. The taste was not good at all and my wife did not like the taste either. The end result was the $60.00 box of sweet sausage went out in today's trash.
My question is did you ship an old degraded batch from the bottom of your freezer?
In closing, Bottos is the local brand of italian sausage that I will continue to trust.

Packaging was horrible. Rope sausage comes frozen together. No paper separator between the two ropes frozen solid. So to cook any you must thaw all of it. Just stupid. Who eats 5lbs of sausage in one setting ? Same goes for the spicy link sausages, I had to use a hammer and chisel just to remove 4 from the box. I would never order these again. Just too difficult to deal with.

I live in rural AZ and always had reservations about buying food shipped really long distances in the summer and spoiling enroute.
I was pleasantly surprised when my Italian sausage from Esposito’s way back East arrived in 3 days in perfect condition and still frozen solid.
I immediately thawed a few links and put them on the BBQ. that night. Man the smell of sausage cooking , leanness of the grind, , and taste were absolutely terrific. They had that perfect snap when you bit into a link. They made wonderful sausage and pepper sandwiches.
Needless to say Esposito’s has gained another customer.

I ordered 2 boxes. There was so much ice and hard frost inside the boxes they came in I kept stabbing the frost with a butter knife. I think they pulled these out of a bottom of a old trunk not happy

They sent me 5 pounds of hot links, 5 pounds of sweet rope. I have absolutely no use for the 5 pounds of rope.
I’m so angry I’ll probably never order from them again.

I used to like it when you could get a 5 pound sample pack as well. You got to choose five different kinds of sausage. Now I have 5 pounds of sausage I probably won’t eat.

Sausage roll arrived semi defrosted and made the box soft and wet. The fact that the 5 lbs would be one continuous roll made the consumption challenging since we will not want eat it all in one sitting.
