Sausage Sampler: Sweet & Hot

Extremely delicious. I cooked breakfast with the sausage along with grits, and eggs. I will add this delectable sausage with my spaghetti recipes.

Amazing! Seared, deglazed pan with red wine. Added home canned tomatoes, sauce, and paste. Sliced onions, green/red/orange/yellow peppers, simmered, then put in over at 375 for an hour. Fresh baked crusty bread, provolone, mozzarella...chef's kiss!

It just taste great You can tell the difference I ha Jones Italian sausage. Tonight I tried Esposito No contest Esposito is supreior by a mile

My only critiqe is the sausage appeared to be freezer burnt. Flavor profile was good

This was our first Italian sausage order from Esposito’s. We loved it and will reorder in the future. We haven’t been able to find good sausage anywhere in Florida that compares to Esposito’s.

No ship date after ten days. Asked for a,refund no confirmation getting refund from my cc company and they will block Esposito. Film flam

The sausage is delicious and lean. Really wonderful flavor and texture. My only concern is the way it arrives: 5 pounds of sausage separated by thin sheets of butcher paper and frozen together in a single block. I had planned on using about 3 pounds for Christmas Day but I ended up having to defrost all 5 pounds. We still have about 8 uncooked sausages. Technically, I can refreeze it, but I know that reduces flavor and texture and general quality. These need to be shipped so that the customer can easily use 1 pound at a time, saving the rest in the freezer. I would suggest packing them in freezer bags. (I’m not looking forward to the next 5 pound box – as delicious as the sausages are.)

The order was in my husband's name because this was one of his Christmas gifts. I was very excited to get the sausage in such a timely manner. It was frozen solid. We had some on Christmas eve and served some sausage bites as appetizers on Christmas day. Everyone enjoyed it. The hot Italian sausage was perfectly seasoned, just enough heat. The sweet Italian sausage we thought lacked taste. It needed more seasonings, in our opinion, maybe more fennel seeds. I am Italian and used to more seasoning in the sweet sausage. Having said this, we are thrilled with the sausage and will enjoy having it often. I can't remember if I can get the sausage links instead of the ropes. I'll have to look. Thank you and my husband loved his unique Christmas present. Marianne Hailey

All freezer burned. Took 2 weeks to receive. Fell ill after eating 1 sausage. Thew all of it the trash. Definitely do not recommend.

I still have not received my order from 20 days ago. And the only think I’m told is to be patient but continue to receive marketing to purchase more. You’re not going to like the Yelp review I’m going to leave.

Very in responsible company took a very long time to get product and they even didn’t sent an email on the status of the shipment, wouldn’t purchase again

We thought the sausages were a bit on the dry side. We like juicy sausages. The were not. Shipping wa excellent.

I know you had the right to substitute the roll for links but it would have been nice to he informed.. I was ok with one roll, I prefer links.. but not two - disappointed

Awful. Didn’t come vacuum sealed. Arrived completely freezer burned. Caused them to be so full of water they were literally squirting with being cooked. Also since they came frozen, I had to thaw and then cook all 5 pounds at once. Who needs 5 pounds at once?! Very disappointed. Will definitely be sticking with Vincent’s Meat Market.

This was a gift for Christmas so the product has not been enjoyed as of yet. Took a flyer off social media as how I landed on your store. Not sure recipient will enjoy as much as I hoped I would. The recipient lives in NNY and even though the local old mom and pop stores have faded into our memories, they still have more options of good Eyetailan sausage than I do living well below the Mason/Dixon line (not quite to NY of the South). I guess that is the price you pay for better weather IHMO.

Would have preferred if the sausage was links instead of rope. Also, a sheet of freezer paper between the layers would have made it easier to separate without thawing it. Flavor & texture was awesome!

Very disappointed that I got no links and two ropes It’s frozen so have to defrost the entire link instead of one sausage at a time You really should of given me the option to accept ropes if you were out of stock Would of rather wait till they were in stock

These came in 2 packages, instead of small packages. I was going to cook some for Christmas, but there are only 3 of us, so it's an impossible situation.

The packaging is challenging. A 5 lb box of loose frozen sausage was cumbersome unless I wanted to thaw and cook it all at once which most people don’t. I had to partial slow thaw the box enough to break it down into 3 -4 sausage packages and vacuum pack them for my freezer. Given the sampler, I did this twice. Once for the sweet and once for the hot.

Shared with family and friends. Removed from original packaging. Everyone tried guessing where i got them from. They were amazed how fast I received them . And how fresh they were. Thank you for sharing your amazing product with us

So good!! We have been looking for really good Italian sausage but haven’t found a great blend yet. Many were lacking oomph. These will be our go to from now on!!

The Chicken, Rabe and Mozzarella sausage is delicious . In fresh New York style Italian rolls with peppers and onions.

I usually buy my sausage on thr hill in St Louis for 50 years. I have only tried your hot and not as Hot but the spices you use made for the perfect blind. Wouldn't change a thing and juicy OH my God slap your momma and run. Looking forward to the sweet

Great tasting sausage, my family loves it.

I was not happy with shipment, all my products arrived frozen and not fresh. My previous shipment was not frozen. I wanted to be able to make smaller packages to freeze for future use. Now I am stuck with 5lb packages that I need to use the entire packages plus they are not packed to freeze. Hopefully I can use products, I am sure I will have to discard most of it because of the freezing.

Disappointed with the taste of your Italian sausage, both hot and mild. I thought I would be receiving the rope style vs the link. As far as taste, it is very bland, no fennel,or spices. Sorry to complain but just disappointed. Your links are provided 2 1/2 inches after grilling, can’t even make a 5 inch sandwich unless one puts 2 sausages on the sandwich. This is not Italian sausage, maybe Italian Hot Dog.

The sausages arrived just fine-still frozen. We tried a few of each last night, and decided we would not order again. The spicy sausage was OK-back taste of heat. The plain Italian links had no flavor whatsoever! They were like ground pork with no seasonings. I was going to serve them over the holidays, but now, we’re giving them away!

I was really excited to try the sampler of the hot and sweet sausage however, it was so salty you could not eat it. I’am extremely disappointed with this purchase.

Was shipped from Illinois. Shipping Box wasn't taped properly and showed up half way torn up. The sweet Italian sausage was in its own box with plastic wrap around it, but had huge layers of ice around it looking like it may be freezer burnt. The hot Italian sausage didn't have the plastic wrap around it. It looked like the box holding the Italian sausage was so old it was degrading and the sausage also looked as if it was freezer burnt. I thawed 2 of the hot Italian sausage. It tasted ok. Just from the shipping, i wouldn't recommend it. The quality of the sausage was equal to that of Johnsonville. Save your money.

The hot sausage was good but the chorizo was not the best. Both of the flavors, the casing was pretty tough.
